We understand the necessities for carrying a concealed weapon, Scott our senior firearms instructor, can share personal experiences from when he worked as an undercover officer. During that law enforcement period, how he suffered through the trials of carrying concealed. This issue was especially important since his life depended on carrying and concealing.
Additionally, Scott also understands “open carry” and the problems and considerations that security officers much like, LEOs must deal with and need to know. Shoot Safe LLC won’t just get you through a course, we cover all the topics and add real life situations for you to relate to. Additionally, the knowledge needed to protect yourself, safeguard those license(s) that you need for your employment and your employer. WE DO NOT CUT CORNERS OR ABREVEATE THE CURRICULUM, UNLIKE SO MANY OTHER SECURITY SCHOOLS OFTEN DO! Our owner currently sits on the Security Advisory Council for the State of Florida; this Board oversees the entire security industry in the state of Florida. He knows what happens to individuals and companies who do not follow the rules or who violate Florida statute as it pertains to these requirements. In today’s world, the security industry is quickly becoming more crucial than ever. Remember, according to F.S. Statute 493, you as a trainee are just as responsible for abiding by the requirements, just as the training schools are!

Scott R. Mozer-Bio
Scott Mozer is the owner and senior firearms instructor for Shoot Safe LLC. He has been professionally involved with firearms since first becoming a law enforcement officer at the age of twenty-one. His respect for and experience with firearms and carrying one, has transcended throughout his entire adult life. He has experienced what only a few individuals, have seen. In addition, to becoming a National Rifle Association (NRA) Firearms Instructor, Scott has certified in many law enforcement subjects and skill sets, including from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC); Northwestern Traffic Safety Institute; Institute of Police Technology and Management: Virginia Commonwealth University Law Enforcement Program and many others. His passion for sharing his knowledge, skills and abilities is only surpassed by his desire for keeping others safe.
Scotts experience and currently held certifications are:
- Twenty-eight years of law enforcement experience, including having attended three different police academys and over five thousand hours of additional law enforcement training.
- Fifteen years of experience and training in the security industry.

- In addition to these Scott continues to certify in First Aid, CPR, AED and other first responder medical training courses, like Stop the Bleed which are helpful to this industry.
*Scott was appointed to the FDACS PIRSAC Board four years ago and is now serving his second term. This great honor is one that only a few people current hold. This State of Florida Board provides insight and recommendations to the Florida Department Agriculture & Consumer Services Commissioner, regarding initiatives pertaining to these specialized industries.
